Ryan Curtis Named as a Civil + Structural Magazine Rising Star

Congratulations to 2006 Master of Architectural Engineering graduate, Ryan Curtis, for being just 1 of 15 structural engineers in the nation selected for the third annual list of Rising Stars in Civil and Structural Engineering published each year in the Civil + Structural Engineer magazine.

According to the magazine, this recognition is given out each year to 30 professionals, 40 years or younger working in the Unites States, who have shown exceptional technical capability, leadership ability, effective teaching or research, or public service benefiting the civil and structural engineering professions, their employers, project owners, and society. Ryan Curtis, P.E., EDAC, LEED AP, BD+C, associate and structural project engineer, LEO A DALY, Omaha, Neb., is a proven leader in the AEC industry with diverse project experiences and immense community involvement and mentoring at both the high school and collegiate level. Within his first five years at LEO A DALY, Curtis was appointed to associate. As a catalyst for various process improvements and design solutions to LEO A DALY, Curtis has demonstrated leadership and accountability in both his design and service/stewardship. He has co-authored an engineering article for Modern Steel Construction magazine and has participated in several speaking engagements. Curtis is responsible for designing and coordinating various forms of building types, each with their own respective building code requirements. These vary from large-scale health care facilities to smaller-scale projects. Curtis is involved in several organizations including the Greater Omaha Young Professionals board of directors.
