Sally WeiCoordinator of Engineering Education & Outreach
Sally Wei is the coordinator of K-12 engineering education and outreach for the College of Engineering. She has been with UNL since 2014. Her primary role is to help integrate the College’s K-12 engagement into a more cohesive enterprise. In this capacity, her roles include advising the Nebraska chapter of the Engineering Ambassadors Network, engaging females and minorities in STEM opportunities, working with the K-12 community in engineering outreach programs in informal and formal settings (training and curriculum development), and longitudinal studies of engineering outreach programs. She also serves as UNL’s Project Lead The Way (PLTW is a national STEM curriculum) affiliate director. Prior to coming to UNL, she has had over twenty years of experience as an engineer in the computer industry, working for Hewlett-Packard, AT&T, Lucent and several smaller semi-conductor companies.
Wei earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from the University of Illinois, a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado and a Master of Arts in teaching from Union Graduate College (now Clarkson University) in New York.
