TeamUSA.org article features Curt Tomasevicz's transition from bobsled to classroom
With degrees in electrical engineering and working toward a doctorate in biological systems engineering, Curt Tomasevicz has clout as a teacher, but his years on the US national bobsled team and Olympic medals give him extra clout with University of Nebraska-Lincoln engineering students.
“Then I briefly mention that I spent 10 years on the U.S. national bobsled team and went to three Olympics, and now I’m here teaching you,” Tomasevicz said in a teamusa.org article. “Sometimes I can kind of see some of them looking at each other like, ‘Is he kidding?’ They don’t always completely believe me.”
It is 100 percent true, however, as his students quickly learn.
