Yang will be attending HKU (HongKong University) to continue his education in mechanical engineering.
Who/What has inspired you during your college career?
He is a “crazy fan” of racing and when he was a child, he wished he could be a racer in the future; however, he noted that his family couldn’t support him to study at a racing academy. He found out that being an engineer could help with entry to the racing world, where he could help design racing cars and do a lot of data analysis for the racers. This is why he chose to study abroad at UNL. Yang said that “This teenage dream helps me to study and encourages me to never give up.”
The best thing about being a Husker is...
Yang said he was supported by the whole Huskers group; it really helped him to “feel cozy” when he was alone overseas. He notes that loneliness can be the biggest problem for students who are studying abroad, but being a Husker, he hasn’t felt lonely.
