Durham - Career Fair FAQ

Because of the pandemic, will the 2021 Fair be held in-person or virtually?

The 2021 Durham School Career Fair will be held both in-person at the Scott Conference Center and online via Handshake's virtual career fair platform. Employers will still get access to resume books as usual. Internship Presentations will be hosted on August 2 & 3 via Zoom webinars. The internship presentations will be made available to all registered employers. Employers are responsible for facilitating their own next-day interviews. Which engineering majors will be represented at The Durham School Career Fair?

Architectural Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management and Civil Engineering students from the Lincoln and Omaha campuses are invited to attend this event. All majors will be represented on both in-person fair dates and the virtual fair date.

How do I pay for registration for The Durham School Career Fair?

Pay via check or credit card. You may pay by credit card on Handshake. Please make checks out to University of Nebraska, and mail to:

Can I register for both in-person fair dates? Can I register for the in-person fair and the virtual fair?

You may register for only one in-person fair date at this time due to limited capacity. Registration for each in-person date is on a first-come-first-served basis. You may register for one in-person fair date as well as the virtual fair. We encourage employers to attend both formats to maximize their recuitment efforts.

Is there a difference between the two in-person fair dates?

There is no difference between the two dates! All students and majors are welcome and encouraged to attend both dates of the in-person fair. 

What is the layout of the in-person Fair like, and what do the booth options look like?

You may register for one 5-foot table. Please note on the Handshake registration if you need electricity for your booth.

The Career Fair is featured on the University of Nebraska–Lincoln's website. Where will the Fair be held?

The in-person Durham School Career Fair is held at the Scott Conference Center on the Unviersity of Nebraska at Omaha Scott Campus in Omaha, NE. There is also a UNL STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Career Fair in Lincoln each fall and spring. You may attend both events, but each event requires a different registration form and separate registration fees. On the date of the Career Fair, check-in and set up is available as early as 8:00AM, but arrive anytime between 8:00AM and 11:00AM. 

Is lunch provided?

Yes, lunch is provided during the in-person Career Fair in the Scott Cafe. Lunch will be available to registered employers only.
