Do you have a love for math and science?
Do you want to be a builder of tomorrow’s future?

Omaha and Lincoln area high school students (grades 9-12) are invited to participate in a three day engineering camp full of activities and seminars. Learn how cool women are in construction! Registration for the 2015 Pink Hard Hat summer camp will open in April and the registration fee is $50.
This event is sponsored by The Durham School.

About Pink Hard Hat Days

Led by Terri Norton, Ph.D.,  associate professor of construction engineering with UNL’s Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction, the Pink Hardhats event connects young people and industry members at Omaha’s Peter Kiewit Institute. The event incorporates a panel discussion comprised of industry leaders and hands-on activities focused on engineering and design. Participants also get the chance to tour active construction sites throughout the Omaha area as a way to see how engineering concepts are applied during the building phase. In the inaugural year of the program, participants toured the job site of Creighton University’s Champions Center.

The Pink Hardhats event is open to all students entering grade 9 through 12 (including those entering their freshman year of college). The event is typically two days. Meals are provided, and registration scholarships are available.

If you are interested in sponsoring this event, please contact Terri Norton by email, tnorton3@unl.edu or phone, 402.554.2564.
