2018 Pink Hard Hat Days Camp CANCELED

About Pink Hard Hat Days

Led by Terri Norton, Ph.D.,  associate professor of construction engineering with UNL’s Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction, the Pink Hardhats event connects young people and industry members at Omaha’s Peter Kiewit Institute. The event incorporates interaction with female industry professionals and hands-on activities focused on engineering and design. Participants also get the chance to tour active construction sites throughout the Omaha area as a way to see how engineering concepts are applied during the building phase. In the inaugural year of the program, participants toured the job site of Creighton University’s Champions Center.

The Pink Hardhats event is open to all students entering grade 9 through 12 (including those entering their freshman year of college). Meals are provided, and registration scholarships are available.

If you are interested in sponsoring this event, please contact Terri Norton by email, tnorton3@unl.edu or phone, 402.554.2564.
