Paul Luehr

Paul Luehr’s 35+-year career in the service of the U.S. Navy is distinguished by his achievements as an engineer and program manager in providing technical management and programmatic oversight to the efforts associated with ensuring a signatures advantage for Navy submarines, surface ships and small craft.

Since joining the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division in 1987, Mr. Luehr has held a variety of technical, program and organizational assignments with increasing responsibility. Currently, he is the Deputy Department Head of the Ship Signatures Department, which is comprised of ~700 scientists, engineers and support staff, operates on an annual budget of $350M, has five (5) large support detachments and facilities geographically distributed across the United States and has personnel supporting Navy operations around the world. Paul is a recipient of the Warfare Center Collaboration Award.

Mr. Luehr grew up in south central Nebraska (Wood River) and received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Nebraska Lincoln in May 1987.
