As Nebraska's College of Engineering, we are deeply connected to the booming engineering and tech industries in the state and nationally, enabling our students to develop valuable connections for their future career choices. And, we work to create an atmosphere that connects you with a diverse and welcoming community, while providing individualized support.

M.S.

Electrical engineering is a high-level, high-demand field that needs individuals with the expertise to design, conduct and manage electrical systems in diverse areas. At Nebraska, we provide a broad, multidisciplinary program to prepare students for careers in industry and organizations, or to further their interest in academia and research.

Our M.S. program depends on the interests and future plans of the student. The length of time necessary to complete the M.S. program varies, but is typically two years for full-time enrollment. Research assistant and teaching assistant positions are available to work closely with world-class faculty in electrical and computer engineering.

Students in the program choose from three options to enhance their skills and knowledge, depending on their future goals. A specialization in Informatics is also available.
