Research Interests:

Knowledge and Tools: Extensive experience in designing and fabricating Carbon-based advanced composite materials for achieving superior stability and electrical properties. Process design and materials fabrication: Growth of thin films (GaN, Si, BN) via customized laser-assisted CVD/MOCVD and thermal CVD systems. Engineering 2D thin films: Defect generation and removal of h-BN, Graphene and MoS2 via magnetron sputtering and rapid thermal processing techniques. Micro/Nano laser manufacturing: Laser-processing of low-dimensional materials. Energy conversion devices: CNT-based photothermal conversion devices. Design and development of CVD based experiments and systems: APCVD, LPCVD and Laser-assisted CVD. Design and development of laser-processing experiments: CW/pulsed Lasers and optical path. Micro-fabrication: Photolithography, Magnetron Sputtering, FIB and RIE. Structural and Chemical characterization: SEM, TEM, HAADF, AFM, EDS, EELS, Raman Spectroscopy, XRD, 3D surface profiler and optical microscope. Electrical characterization: using four-point probe/two-point probe methods with semiconductor parameter analyzer to get accurate I-V, S-parameters and AC resistance/reactance of various devices. Labview programming for data processing and laser control. Hands on experience with Matlab, Solidworks, Materials Studio, LAMMPS, Cadence Virtuoso and HSPICE.
