Summer 2024:
This summer we had Dr. Shampa Aich visiting from our lab (SAMPL lab) and collaborating and conducting research on additively manufactured Magnetic Materials using the Laser Powder Bed Fusion method.
March 2024:
In March 2024, Professor Shield and most of his research group including Suchit Sarin, Sahar Beigzadeh, Sudha Krishnan, Rifat Mahbub, Sunil Dhapola, and Daniel Egbebunmi attended the 153nd Annual Meeting and Exhibition of the Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS) conference held in Orlando, Florida, USA. During the conference, everyone presented their research as a poster or talk.
March 2023:
In March 2023, Professor Shield and his doctoral student, Sahar Beigzadeh, attended the 152nd Annual Meeting and Exhibition of the Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS) conference held in San Diego, California, USA. During the conference, Sahar presented their research on microstructural quantification techniques using local orientation image analysis.
February 2023:
Sahar Beigzadeh attended the Graduate student Symposium at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Lincoln, NE, USA.
