The College of Engineering’s Graduate Student Advisory Board (GeSAB) is hosting the 4th annual Graduate Student Symposium on Friday, February 24th, 2023 from 9 am – 5 pm in the Willa Cather Dining Complex (Red Cloud Suite & Pioneers Rooms), during Engineer's Week (E-Week) 2023.

Engineering graduate students will present keynotes and session talks, and compete in the 3-in-5 Pitch Competition and Poster/Research Session. To view the 2023 schedule and topics click the link above. The symposium will be delivered in-person in 2023. Registration is NOW OPEN! Registrants for the symposium will receive a meal ticket at check-in for the Willa Cather Dining Hall. Please register to attend the event by Wednesday, February 22.


Keynotes

25 minute talks which encompasses a holistic view of an engineering topic. 

Session Talks

A series of 15-minute presentations that share a commonality. These sessions are open to showcase research at all stages. Examples include: research ideas, review of a topic, proposals, and research results.

3-in-5 Pitch Competition

Participants will have 3 slides to promote their idea to a panel of judges in 5 minutes with no question and answer period. Judges will represent multiple disciplines.

Poster/Research Session

Expanding the traditional poster session format, participants will present their research through various means. Judges will represent multiple disciplines.
