The College of Engineering’s Graduate Student Advisory Board (GeSAB) is hosting the 4th annual Graduate Student Symposium on Friday, February 24th, 2023 from 9 am – 5 pm in the Willa Cather Dining Complex (Red Cloud Suite & Pioneers Rooms), during Engineer's Week (E-Week) 2023.
Engineering graduate students will present keynotes and session talks, and compete in the 3-in-5 Pitch Competition and Poster/Research Session. Registrants for the symposium will receive a meal ticket at check-in for the Willa Cather Dining Hall. Please register to attend the event by Wednesday, February 22.
25 minute talks which encompasses a holistic view of an engineering topic.
A series of 15-minute presentations that share a commonality. These sessions are open to showcase research at all stages. Examples include: research ideas, review of a topic, proposals, and research results.
3-in-5 Pitch Competition
Participants will have 3 slides to promote their idea to a panel of judges in 5 minutes with no question and answer period. Judges will represent multiple disciplines.
Expanding the traditional poster session format, participants will present their research through various means. Judges will represent multiple disciplines.
