Eta Kappa Nu (HKN)

Students are invited to join this national honor society if they are in the top one quarter of their class as juniors or top one third as seniors. Electrical components are purchased by the organization and assembled into kits by members for resale to undergraduate electrical engineering students for use in the required laboratories. Regular meetings are held and special tutoring sessions are arranged for students enrolled in beginning or intermediate level electrical engineering courses.

This is the largest professional organization in the world and the Lincoln and Omaha Chapter's are very active on campus. Every electrical engineering student is encouraged to join. Activities include; regular meetings, technical seminars, selling of laboratory experiment booklets, plant tours, and at least one annual faculty/student get-together.

UNL Robotics Club

UNL Robotics Club is an engineering student organization that focus on design, develop, and build robots and robotics application and participates in annual international robotics competitions. The Robotics Club was founded in 2017 from the robotics team. We are a group of robotics enthusiasts that are interested in developing our skills by designing and building robots, as well as inspiring interests in robotics and supporting the community.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln VEX U Robotics Club is an inclusive, student-driven organization focused on teaching engineering concepts through a hands-on, competitive team experience.

Aerospace Club

The UNL Aerospace Club is a student-led organization consisting of six different design teams: Design Build Fly (DBF), RMC (also referred to as Lunabotics), Rocketry, Rocketry Project 100k, RockSat, and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV). While the Aerospace Club is an engineering-based organization, all UNL students of any discipline are welcomed to join and no prior experience is needed. Our teams will teach you everything you need to know including design, CAD software, how to use power tools, and even 3D printing.
