Muhammad Ashar Naveed

Ashar previously had bachelor's and master's degrees in Electrical Engineering from IUB and ITU, Pakistan. After his master's, he served as a Research Associate at MicroNano Lab, ITU. He explored all-dielectric, and liquid crystal integrated bendable and tunable meta-displays during that time. In August 2022, he joined Quantum Photonics and Phononics group as a graduate student at the Electrical and Computer Engineering department UNL. During his Ph.D. Ashar aims to explore and investigate the fundamental photo-physical properties of newly emerging 2D and wideband-gap materials, thereby realizing functional devices for light signal processing and routing.
