Accessibility and Universal Design for Learning

Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) places accessibility compliance standards on digital content and tools, including internal and external websites, digital documents and mobile applications. Learn more about ADA at UNL.

The Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is an instructional design framework that focuses on building an inclusive learning environment to accommodate various learners. It emphasizes engaging students in learning with a variety of activities to meet different preferences and allowing students to demonstrate their learning by providing diverse assessment options.

The Accessibility and UDL resource, developed by several units on campus, shares guidance and strategies for when you design and develop your courses.
