Hello! I was born and raised in Cedar Falls, Iowa. I stayed busy throughout high school, competing in varsity swimming and track, teaching swim lessons, baking yummy treats, as well as participating in rocket club, and Mentors in Violence Prevention, where I helped teach underclassmen about difficult topics such as bullying and suicide. I also had the opportunity this past school year to work on designing and building a prosthetic dog leg, for a dog named Ozzy, who lost lost his leg due to cancer.
I am currently planning to major in Civil Engineering, as I enjoy math and science, along with hands-on experiences. I hope that with my degree I can design and build life-changing infrastructure for people all over the world.
Through the Kiewit Scholars program, I look forward to studying abroad, interning with Kiewit, and developing into a well-rounded engineer.
