I am from Omaha, Nebraska, just a short drive from Lincoln. I enjoy reading, baking and cooking, and doing art and crafts in my spare time. In high school, I was heavily involved with Show Choir as well as the speech team, for which I also served as president, and was also involved in honor societies. At the end of junior year, my friend and I created a STEM club at our school which let us spread our love for STEM and encourage girls to pursue a future in it. All these experiences taught me the importance of community and inclusivity, as well as strong leadership skills. 

I am pursuing a career in mechanical engineering, where I hope to come up with creative and innovative solutions to real-world problems. In the Kiewit Scholar program, I am most excited for the chance to meet new people and gain real-world experiences through summer internships, and I am so glad I can do it with such an amazing group of Scholars!
