I was born in Mitchell, South Dakota, but spent time in Blair and Norfolk, Nebraska before eventually returning to South Dakota. I graduated from Mitchell High School and stayed very involved during my time there. I served as a state officer for FBLA, competed in speech and debate, was a member of National Honors Society, and played percussion in band. Outside of school, I worked as a tour guide at the Corn Palace and a server at a local restaurant. In my free time I enjoy playing tennis, running, practicing the piano, and traveling. I am currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering in hopes of applying the skills I learn to solve pressing issues in our environment and promote more sustainable practices. I am excited to be part of the Kiewit Scholars program and look forward to the leadership development, internships, and travel opportunities.
