I was born in Omaha, Nebraska, and raised in Shawnee, Kansas, where I discovered my passion for leadership and engineering through experiential learning opportunities. As a sophomore, I represented my high school at HOBY and attended the SAME engineering camp at the US Air Force Academy. Junior year, I founded my school’s Society of Women Engineers chapter and served as co-president for two years. That summer, I represented the state of Kansas at the month-long National Youth Science Camp in West Virginia and completed a Kiewit summer internship. Senior year, I was a National Honor Society officer and led philanthropic projects to benefit the SPCA animal shelter. I ran cross country and track, and I enjoy working out, traveling, and spending time with friends. As an Environmental Engineering major, I am most excited about experiential opportunities within the program, including internships and site visits. I am a travel enthusiast and plan to participate in the study abroad program. My goal is to learn as much as possible and make a positive impact while attending UNL.
