I come from Sterling, Nebraska which is a small town 45 minutes southeast of Lincoln. I graduated from Sterling High School and was a part of the football and track teams. Being a student at a small school allowed me to become a well-rounded individual and be involved in numerous activities such as Quiz Bowl, marching and concert band, and Student Government. For the last three summers, I have worked in the commercial construction field. Here I gained a passion and understanding of the process, advancement, and improvement of buildings and structures. I am majoring in civil engineering and hope to one day become a successful engineer who helps create important structures across the world. I am excited to meet friends and mentors through the Kiewit Scholars Program and start my engineering journey of giving back to society. In my free time, I enjoy running, studying, and spending time with loved ones.
