I was born in Cameroon, Africa, and later moved to California, then Kearney, before settling in Omaha, Nebraska, where I graduated from Westview High School. At the UNL, I’m pursuing civil engineering with a passion to help people and create projects that strengthen communities both here in Nebraska and abroad. In high school, I served as Senior Class President, was part of the Superintendent Advisory Committee, Student Council, and National Honor Society, and mentored younger students through the Link Peer Mentoring Program and Bible Study Club. I also participated in the ACE program, the Engineering Pathway at Westview, and an internship with Olsson Engineering, all of which confirmed my calling to a career in engineering. One of my proudest moments was placing second in the SAME competition, which challenged me to think like an engineer on a real project. Outside the classroom, I competed in varsity football and track, joined the robotics and powerlifting clubs, and stayed active in leadership programs like No Limits Nebraska and the Nebraska Civic Leadership Program. In my free time, I love cooking, working out, and spending time with family. As a Kiewit Scholar, I’m excited to grow as a leader, build meaningful connections, and acquire the skills to utilize engineering as a means to make a lasting difference for people. This program shows great potential for personal and professional growth, and it excites me to pursue my goals and dreams.
