M.R. (Mohammad) Hasan, assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering, and former Nebraska Engineering researcher Bilal Khan found that integrating AI-based interventions can help undergraduate students succeed in STEM courses.

Nebraska Today's Pocket Science feature looks at the research in which the team evaluated the performance of 537 students who took a computer science course between 2015 and 2018, some who received automated messages about their grade status from the university's course management system at three designated times during the semester, and some who did not receive those messages.
