Complete Engineer Conference
Last year's participants were asked to describe the conference. They said:
"[It's] a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn the side of engineering no one talks about and meet AMAZING people!"
"It's not [an] engineering skills conference. It's a career professional training event that teaches you more important lessons on how to succeed in a connected world."
"The greatest way to spend your spring break. A stepping stone into the professional world."
The Complete Engineer Conference is the premier leadership development conference for collegiate engineering students in Nebraska. Conference attendees, selected through a competitive application process, are provided hands-on opportunities to develop The Complete Engineer competencies needed for success in the 21st century, as well as a chance to confront worldwide engineering challenges (the National Academy of Engineering's 14 Grand Challenges for Engineering).
Held at the Union Pacific Corporate Headquarters in downtown Omaha, The Complete Engineer Conference (March 19-22, 2017) will provide participants with how to identify, use, and leverage non-technical skills to tackle significant challenges facing the world today. Participants will be able to experience:
- Professional and personal development workshops that focus on identifying and appreciating individual strengths, values, diversity, and more of The Complete Engineer competencies
- Keynote speakers from leading engineering executives and thought-leaders
- Selective networking opportunities
- A chance to earn scholarships through a team-based competition
This conference will help develop and build the necessary non-technical foundation for any engineer – regardless of major. While we are offering more seats this year, space is still limited. All interested students are encouraged to apply for this conference by January 20, 2017. Room and most meal costs will be covered for the students selected to participate.
