Complete Engineer Conference
2018 Save the Date:
The 2018 Complete Engineer Conference will be held March 2-3, 2018 in Lincoln, NE. Location TBA.
Last year's participants were asked to describe the conference. They said:
"[It's] a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn the side of engineering no one talks about and meet AMAZING people!"
"It's not [an] engineering skills conference. It's a career professional training event that teaches you more important lessons on how to succeed in a connected world."
"The greatest way to spend your spring break. A stepping stone into the professional world."
The Complete Engineer Conference is the premier leadership development conference for collegiate engineering students in Nebraska. Conference attendees, selected through a competitive application process, are provided hands-on opportunities to develop The Complete Engineer competencies needed for success as an engineer in the 21st century, as well as a chance to confront worldwide engineering challenges (the National Academy of Engineering's 14 Grand Challenges for Engineering).
Held on March 2-3, 2018, the conference will provide participants with the opportunity to identify, use, and leverage non-technical skills to tackle significant challenges facing the world today. Participants will be able to experience:
- Professional and personal development workshops that focus on identifying and appreciating individual strengths, values, diversity, and more of The Complete Engineer competencies
- Keynote speakers from leading engineering executives and thought-leaders
- Selective networking opportunities
- A chance to earn scholarships through a team-based competition
This conference will help develop and build the a strong foundation of the non-technical skills sought by engineering employers and expected of all engineers – regardless of major.
