The College of Engineering offers two types of graduate student recruitment funding: (1) Recruitment Visit Grants, and (2) Nebraska Engineering Recruitment Fellowships.
- Recruitment Visit Grants are typically on the order of $250, and may be used to subsidize visits by potential graduate students to UNL engineering graduate programs. These funds are commonly used to supplement recruitment visit funds that may be available within the academic unit. Additionally, the College hosts two College Graduate Recruitment Events in early spring (typically first week of February and first week of March). Potential graduate students who visit on these College-coordinated days may receive up to $1000 towards their travel expenses.
- Nebraska Engineering Recruitment Fellowships are one-year fellowship awards of $5000 total, presented to outstanding graduate student applicants on top of an existing assistantship offer, which may be renewed for a second year.
