About the Shuttle

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Engineering partners with Arrow Stage Lines to offer free bus service between Lincoln and Omaha each weekday for students, faculty and staff, while classes are in session. Students and employees within the University of Nebraska system may use the shuttle and should scan their university ID as they board the shuttle. Priority for seating will be given to those in the College of Engineering. No reservations are necessary.

Two 36-passenger buses start at Othmer Hall on City Campus and The Peter Kiewit Institute on Scott Campus in Omaha. From Omaha, they will stop at UNMC as well as I-80 Exit 439.

The college does not guarantee the shuttles have space for every rider per session. Seats are first-come, first-served.

Key Ring Tags for Engineering Shuttles

For priority seating on the NE-Ride shuttles, free key ring tags are available for engineering students, faculty and staff. Tags are available in the Dean’s Office suites in Othmer Hall 114 (City Campus) and 100 PKI (Scott Campus). Priority seating applies only when boarding the shuttle at Othmer Hall in Lincoln and PKI in Omaha.

During full shuttles, show your tag for possible early seating. Note: seats are not guaranteed and are still first come, first serve.

Updates / Cancellations

The N-E RIDE shuttles will not run when classes are cancelled on either the UNL or UNO campus. If a cancellation occurs in the middle of the day (due to weather, etc.), the next shuttle after the cancellation will plan to run as possible. Check the app and this site for updated information.
