Free engineering shuttle between Lincoln and Omaha

Pictures of the new College of Engineering N-E Ride bus

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Engineering partners with Arrow Stage Lines to offer free bus service between Lincoln and Omaha each weekday for students, faculty and staff, while classes are in session. Any students and employees within the University of Nebraska system may use the shuttle and should scan their university ID as they board the shuttle. Priority for seating will be given to those in the College of Engineering. No reservations are necessary.

Two 44-passenger buses start at Othmer Hall on City Campus and The Peter Kiewit Institute on Scott Campus in Omaha. From Omaha, they will stop at UNMC as well as I-80 Exit 439.

Shuttle service begins at 7:30 a.m., (Monday-Friday) with the last buses leaving at 5:30 p.m. from Othmer Hall and PKI.

The college does not guarantee the shuttles have space for every rider per session. Seats are first-come, first-served.

Updates / Cancellations

The N-E RIDE shuttles will not run when classes are cancelled on either the UNL or UNO campus.  If a cancellation occurs in the middle of the day (due to weather, etc.), the next shuttle after the cancellation will still plan to run as possible. Check the app and this site for up-to-date information.
