Ronald Faller, Willa Cather Research Professor of civil and environmental engineering and director of the Midwest Roadside Safety Facility, was selected as an National Academy of Inventors fellow, the highest professional distinction accorded solely to academic inventors and an honor that highlights inventors with a prolific spirit of innovation in creating or facilitating outstanding inventions that have tangibly impacted quality of life, economic development and the welfare of society.
