Which PLTW courses are you currently teaching?:

Introduction to Engineering Design, Principles of Engineering, and next year I will teach Engineering Design and Development.

What inspired you to become the PLTW instructor?:

I am a math teacher by trade, but I also love working with my hands. When I found out about the PLTW courses that our school offers, I knew immediately that those were the types of courses that I wanted to teach. I love how the math that we do in PLTW always revolves around a great activity.

Explain the impact the PLTW curriculum program has had your students?:

I think the activity-based learning that the PLTW curriculum provides is amazing. Students enjoy the activities that we do, and then they see the importance of the math and science concepts that they learn in the traditional classroom. We all want to provide rigor in our curriculum and at the same time keep students interested and engaged, and I think PLTW does just that. Some students will enter into an engineering career, all because of this program that we now offer.
