Jason is the Director of Talent Development at Black & Veatch in Overland Park, KS, an employee-owned, global engineering and construction company focusing in critical human infrastructure. He and his team are responsible for leadership development, sales training, project manager development, and technical upskilling and reskilling.
He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, with both focusing in structural engineering. Jason has over 20 years of experience including commercial structural engineering, locks and dams, military infrastructure, power generation, and now learning and development. He has enjoyed continuously implementing new technology and innovations throughout his work.
Jason serves as an adjunct professor within the University of Kansas School of Architecture and is the co-author of the Bluebeam Guidebook (2018). He and his wife Jenny Johannes-Hascall have 2 dogs, enjoy traveling, and spending time outdoors. Jason loves roller coasters and has ridden over 200 different coasters across the US.
