ECE Information Session for H.S. Teachers and Counselors

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invites interested high school teachers and counselors to an informative session on the college's Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering programs. The College of Engineering offers majors on City Campus and East Campus in Lincoln and Scott Campus in Omaha. 

Thursday, June 13, 2024 / 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Lunch will be provided

Peter Kiewit Institute / Scott Campus, University of Nebraska Omaha / 1110 So. 67th St., Omaha

Activities planned for this mini workshop include:

  • An overview of the enrollment process and the numerous scholarships available to incoming students.
  • An introduction to the extensive internship opportunities and fulfilling career paths available in the fields of electrical engineering and computer engineering
  • Networking with fellow teachers and advisors on tactics for exciting students about engineering
  • A tour of our laboratory facilities at the Peter Kiewit Institute on Scott Campus
  • A hands-on experience with a computer/electrical engineering take-home project
