Durham School student teams win awards at ASC Region 4 competition
Oct. 25, 2024 - Student teams from the Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction won two categories and placed third in another at the Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) Region 4 Students Competition, held Oct. 21-22 in Nebraska City.
In all, six teams (five based on City Campus and one on Scott Campus) comprised of 40 students competed in the team categories and seven sophomores participated in the Skills Summit Competition.
The team award recipients
- First place, Electrical: Timothy Erickson, Ian Tinsley, Austin Rome, Evan Willits, and Dylan Rejcha (faculty advisor Tony Roebuck).
- First place, Commercial CMaR Capstone: Grace Engh, Joshua Marcy, Wyatt Uhing, Cody Niemiec, John Moulton, and Ashley Garrard (faculty advisor Matthew Barrows).
- Third place, Commercial GC: Oscar Bernabe, Carlos Valdez, Colton Wright, Caleb J. Branger Modlin, Kevin Fierroa Chavez, and Luke Dostal (faculty advisor Matthew Barrows).
Other DSAEC teams
- Commercial GC Capstone: Mary Tran, Joseph Floersch, Carson Clarys, Cameron Mulholland, Ricardo Sidon, and Jacob Kshywonis, with faculty advisor Brandon Kreiling.
- Electrical: Perry Anderson, Vinny Bui, Eldwin Caballro Acosta, Nikki Young, Will Campbell, and Grant Barker.
- Heavy Highway: Gabe Wermhoff, Wyatt Cassidy, Michael Mattiassi, Titus Miron, Lucas Wegner, and Charlie Janecek.
