Lily Wang named president-elect of Acoustical Society of America

Lily Wang, professor of architectural engineering, has been named president-elect of the Acoustical Society of America for the 2017-18 term.

Wang also serves as associate dean for graduate programs and faculty development in the College of Engineering. She will begin serving as the ASA president in 2018-19 and will serve as past president in 2019-20.

“I plan to work hard, moving the society forward in line with the recent ‘Strategic Leadership for the Future’ plan," Wang said. "Specifically, I am interested in developing new ways for our society to serve members from different sectors better -- particularly those in industry and internationally -- and in expanding promotion of ASA’s activities to those outside of our society.”
