A team of four biological systems engineering students - Meredith Johnson, Justin Brinkman, Luke Burbach and Loren Steinman - are helping the iconic dairy processing plant on East Campus with logistical plans for its relocation to Nebraska Innovation Campus this summer.

The plant, which opened in 1917, will move the production of milk, cheese and ice cream to a new pilot plant facility that will be closer to the Food Innovation Center on NIC.

The students are also doing economic analysis on a new line of milk products to determine a price point. These products will be purchased by Husker Athletics and be available to its athletes.
