Previous research has been done on developing a theoretical model to assist in experimental setup for the ultrasound stimulus in cartilage restoration.

More theoretical modeling is currently being done on:

  • Actin modeling
  • Chondrogenesis

Currently researchers annotate MRIs in Scan IP software and exported to COMSOL to analyze acoustic effects on tissue. To do that, portions of an MRI need to be segmented. The figure below shows segmented bones in a knee.
