When the 300-member Cornhusker Marching Band takes the field at Memorial Stadium this fall, 12 percent of the performers will be students from the College of Engineering.
In addition to the academic rigor of pursuing an engineering degree, the students also devote an early-morning hour each school day to practicing for upcoming games and went through a week of 14-hour days and a pair of auditions before the school year even started.
