Architectural Engineering Awards and Recognition Banquet
This year, the Durham School's Architectural Engineering (AE) program is marking its 25th anniversary. From its inception in the fall semester of 1998 to fall 2023, the program has evolved into a powerhouse in architectural engineering education.
To commemorate this achievement, the school is hosting a celebration at the program’s annual Architectural Engineering Awards and Recognition Banquet on March 6, 2025, at the Scott Conference Center. This event will not only celebrate the program's enduring commitment to excellence but also serve as a platform to recognize the collective efforts that have shaped the program.
The banquet is regularly organized by the AE Student Leadership Committee (AESLAC). In addition to awards that are given out annually at the banquet, the evening’s program will highlight individuals and companies who have played pivotal roles in the program's success, such as the founding Director of the program, the late Dr. Gren Yuill. The banquet provides an annual opportunity to shine a spotlight on the UNL Grenville K. Yuill Memorial Masters of Architectural Engineering Scholarship Fund, which stands as a testament to Dr. Yuill's enduring legacy and commitment to fostering excellence within the program. A unique musical program is also being planned in which alums, faculty/staff, and students will be featured.
