Aaron Young, a fourth-year architectural engineering student in The Durham School, has been awarded the $10,000 Willis H. Carrier Scholarship.

Young, who had an internship this summer at Morrissey Engineering, is a member of the Nebraska Student Engineering Council in Omaha (NESCO) and the Architectural Engineering Student Leadership Advisory Committee (AESLAC). 

The Willis H. Carrier Scholarship is among 33 ASHRAE Society Scholarships for 2021-22, totaling $174,000. It was established by the Carrier Corp. in memory of its founder, who installed the world's first scientifically designed air-conditioning system.
