Favorite Memory of UNL
Andrea's favorite memory of UNL is having her family in town for UNL's 2020 Homecoming week when she was on Homecoming Royalty Court. Her parents and both sets of grandparents joined the celebration of the university's rich traditions and Husker pride.
Future Plans
After completing her FE Exam, Andrea will continue living in Lincoln for a year to complete undergraduate research with Dr. Amy Schmidt and work part-time at an engineering firm. Come fall of 2021, Andrea plans to attend graduate school in a Textile Engineering master's program.
Who/What has inspired you during your college career?
Andrea has been inspired by the three generations of women in her family who attended UNL before her and the women in her sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma, who also pursued engineering or STEM degrees. She has also been motivated by practices of sustainability and is eager to begin her own professional journey of working responsibly with the environment.
