BS ENVE Student Kodi Timanus Awarded National SWANA Scholarship

The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department is thrilled to announce that Kodi Timanus, a Junior Environmental Engineering major from Gregory, South Dakota, has been awarded the prestigious Harvey W. Gershwin Scholarship by the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA). This honor highlights Kodi’s dedication to advancing sustainable practices and environmental stewardship.

SWANA, renowned for its efforts in promoting effective recycling and sustainable water management, recognizes outstanding students who are committed to these critical fields. Kodi exemplifies this commitment with a passion for creating clean cities and communities with minimal carbon footprints. Outside of academics, she enjoys hiking, running, and rock climbing, reflecting a deep appreciation for the natural world.
