Dear Alumni and Friends,

This summer 2024 E-Headlines newsletter highlights many of the recent activities and exciting news related to our architectural engineering, construction engineering, and construction management programs.    We moved into the new Kiewit Hall building on City campus in Lincoln, and it has been a transformative experience for our students, faculty, and staff.

We continue to  prioritize recruitment initiatives, sharing the opportunities in architectural engineering and construction widely with students and teachers; one tactic has been to strengthen our partnership with the national ACE Mentoring program.  We also hosted the third annual ‘Future of the Building Workshop’ and accompanying Ph.D. Symposium in May 2024 with great success.  This newsletter also shares many recent successes of our Durham School faculty and students, including another win of the NCEES Engineering Education Award.

Finally, we ask you to save the date for a Golden Jubilee celebration of our Construction Programs, to be held on April 17-18, 2025, in Kiewit Hall on City campus.  We plan to recognize many alum luminaries who have had great impact in the construction fields – please nominate yourself or other colleagues at this website by November 1, 2024: https://durhamschool.link/luminary-nominations

I hope to see you on campus next spring for this distinctive event.

Warm regards,

Lily
