Scholarships for Incoming Students
Schmitt Durham School Renewable Scholarship
The Durham School has one of the largest departmental scholarship programs within the College of Engineering at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. The Schmitt Durham School Renewable Scholarship is awarded to incoming freshman who have demonstrated exceptional academic excellence and have been admitted to the Architectural Engineering, Construction Engineering or Construction Management programs.
No application is required. Incoming freshman are automatically eligible and awards are given on a competitive basis. The scholarship is automatically renewed for up to four years provided the following conditions are met:
Architectural Engineering Nonresident Scholarship
All out-of-state students accepted to the Architectural Engineering program with a 29 or above on the ACT (or SAT equivalent) will automatically be considered for a scholarship worth $17,500 per year for up to 4 years. Students with an ACT score of 33 or above (or SAT equivalent) will automatically be considered for a scholarship worth $20,000 per year for up to 4 years. No application is required.
CIAC Tradition of Excellence Scholarship
The mission of the Construction Industry Advisory Committee (CIAC) is to provide a continuing liaison between the academic community and the practicing profession and to assist the Construction Engineering (CONE) and Construction Management (CM) programs, the DSAEC, the College of Engineering (CoE), and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) in providing the highest quality of construction education.
The CIAC's “Tradition of Excellence” scholarships provide tuition assistance to undergraduate students pursuing careers in the construction industry.
Applications are accepted during the following time periods:
First Selection: October 1 through November 15
Second Selection: December 1 through February 15
