The Peter Kiewit Foundation Engineering Academy seeks to recruit and retain all students in the program. Students must demonstrate interest and commitment to the advancement of women in engineering, computing or construction. The Engineering Academy provides students who have financial need with the resources and support to pursue careers in engineering, computing and construction shaping the future workforce of Nebraska.
We envision a future where all students achieve long-term economic success through rewarding careers in engineering, computing, and construction.
This program grounds its work in The Complete Engineer®, ensuring students participate in experiential learning in tandem with the technical expertise provided by a Big Ten degree. Through a cohort-based program of 40 scholars each year, these students will be empowered to make a positive impact in their field through exclusive seminar courses, dedicated success coaching, and support of a faculty fellows network.
