Scott Conference Center, Omaha, Nebraska

The Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction invites you to the FoBI 2025 Workshop, a 1.5-day event bringing together leading voices from academia, industry, and government to envision the future of smart, resilient, and sustainable infrastructure. The workshop provides a unique space for collaborative thinking and action toward creating high-performance, healthy, and adaptive built environments.

This Year’s Theme:

AI for Resilient Communities: People, Built Environment, and Adaptation

The 2025 FoBI Workshop will explore how artificial intelligence can enhance community resilience by supporting climate adaptation, advancing smart infrastructure systems, and informing equitable policy and planning decisions.

Each year, the FoBI Workshop addresses a new theme aligned with emerging challenges and opportunities in the built environment. In 2025, we focus on leveraging AI and data-driven technologies to build stronger, more responsive communities in the face of increasing hazards and changing societal needs.

Discussion Topics Will Include:

  • AI applications in structural and infrastructure engineering
  • Smart building systems and energy resilience
