The honor society was established to promote scholarship, ethical practice, and professional development within the construction industry, while fostering connections between academia and industry professionals.
Induction into Sigma Lambda Chi is by invitation and is based on rigorous academic and character standards. Eligible undergraduate students rank in the top 20% of their class, have completed a substantial portion of their construction curriculum, and are recognized by their peers as outstanding leaders in the field of construction. Graduate students, faculty, and industry professionals may also be inducted in recognition of excellence, leadership, and service to the construction profession.
