Omaha E-Week Schedule

Please join the Nebraska Engineering Student Council at Omaha (NESCO) in celebrating National Engineers Week!  Come enjoy a variety of opportunities, provided to you by many of our student organizations, to interact with fellow students, faculty, staff and industry.  Event participants will also have several opportunities to win prizes throughout the week!

Supply & Swag Pick-Up Times
These times are when you can visit PKI to pick up E-Week swag as well as event materials for the EERI, ASCE, and SWE events!

Virtual Golden Egg Treasure Hunt
Hosted by Nebraska Engineering Student Council at Omaha (NESCO)

  • Explore UNL College of Engineering webpages to discover all of the available resources and opportunities offered.  If you keep reading and pay attention to the details on each webpage, you might be lucky enough to find some golden eggs and win some prizes! (remember to click on the eggs to reveal what you've won).

  • Come join us on a Minecraft server for some E-week fun. A discord server is set up so everyone may interact with each other if they choose. Anyone who has Minecraft is welcome to join the server at any time!

Tower Building Competition
Hosted by Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI)

  • Compete to build the tallest and best looking tower using only popsicle sticks and glue! Pick up supplies and then submit a picture of your tower for judging (details on submissions will be provided at supply pick up). Don't forget to use the E-Week hashtag  if posting a photo on social media (#NebEWeek2021)!
  • Judging will take place either Thursday evening or Friday morning, and the winner will be announced on Friday, February 26.
  • Pick up supplies for this event during the Pick-Up Times listed at the top of the page.

Bridge Building Competition
Hosted by American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)

  • Build a bridge with given materials and post on social media where it will be judged for prizes based on design and creativity. Interact with the ASCE instagram account and use the E-Week hashtag when posting (#NebEWeek2021)
  • Submissions are due no later than Thursday at midnight and judging will take place Friday morning. Winners will be announced on Friday, February 26th.
  • Pick up supplies for this event during the Pick-Up Times listed at the top of the page.
