The student chapter of the Institute of Industrial Engineers is hosting a research fair for undergraduates to learn about research and graduate school opportunities in industrial and management systems engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln

The event will be Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, from 3-5 p.m. in W213.3 Nebraska Hall. Students studying engineering, math, physics and business are encouraged to attend. Underclassmen interested in doing a UCARE project with IMSE faculty or considering graduate school also should attend, as many faculty members are looking for students to assist with their research.

These research areas will be showcased:
  • ergonomics
  • management
  • nontraditional manufacturing
  • operations research
  • packaging
  • RFID
  • safety

Participants will be able to interact with faculty and graduate students and learn about research and technology used in the field. Food will be served at the end of the event.

Interested students should RSVP to unliie@yahoo.com.
