Four UNL electrical engineering students – Jacob Eckstrom, Alexander Meier, Sarah Porath and Drew Wiseman – have been awarded scholarships through the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Power Energy Society Scholarship Plus Initiative.
They are among the nearly 200 undergraduate students from 95 American and Canadian universities who will receive these scholarships. Eckstrom, Meier, Porath and Wiseman will receive up to $2,000 for the current academic year.
Recipients are high-achieving undergraduate students in electrical engineering programs who have grade-point averages of at least 3.0 and who are committed to exploring the power and energy engineering field through both coursework and career experiences.
Last year, Wiseman also received the IEEE Power & Energy Society Scholarship Plus Initiative.
