After a near-fatal car crash three years ago, Caleb Lindhorst's future was very much uncertain.

While Lindhorst was recovering from injuries that limited his physical abilities, Nebraska Engineering faculty students rallied around him.

Dr. Roger Hoy, professor of biological systems engineering, made regular hospital visits to continue Lindhorst's education by teaching him in the hospital.

Friends and fellow BSE students did whatever they could to help Lindhorst resume his academic career.

On Dec. 17, almost three years to the day from his life-changing accident, Lindhorst will graduate from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Biological Systems Engineering degree.
