With another strong performance last weekend, the Husker Racing Baja SAE team added another milestone to its 2016 season.
Among a field of 100 entries from universities worldwide, the Husker Racing team finished seventh in the overall competition at the Baja SAE Collegiate Design Series event in Gorman, California. Team treasurer Joe Sheehan said it was the first time in club history that the team had top-10 overall finishes at two events in the same season. In late April, the UNL team placed fifth at Cookeville, Tennessee.
Husker Racing finished seventh in the four-hour endurance race on Sunday and placed in among the top 13 in five other categories – fifth in cost, ninth in sales presentation, 11th in suspension/traction, 12th in acceleration and 13th in maneuverability.
The Baja SAE Collegiate Design Series wraps up with an event June 9-12 in Rochester, New York. You can follow the team on its Facebook page.
