Engineers looking to pursue a graduate degree in the college’s Master of Engineering Management (MEM) are joining one of the nation’s best, according to the 2024 U.S. News & World Report rankings.

The fully online MEM is among the U.S. News & World Report top five for Best Online Master’s in Engineering Programs, gaining four spots from #9 in 2023; the program remains highly ranked among the Best Online Master’s in Engineering Programs for Veterans as well, rising to #4 after ranking sixth in 2023.

“Our MEM is specifically designed for the working professional who wants to have autonomy and flexibility of time and space for their studies,” said Jena Asgarpoor, MEM program director and professor of practice.

The MEM degree is a 30-credit program; a 12-credit Graduate Certificate in Engineering Management is also offered. The master’s degree is one of nine programs internationally certified by the American Society for Engineering Management for meeting and exceeding their rigorous standards and review.

“We hire faculty members who are professionally qualified with relevant engineering industry experience and who are academically qualified with proper engineering education,” added Asgarpoor. “They have a gift to help students relate the course teachings to their jobs.”

Money also ranked the college’s graduate degree programs as one of its top three 2024 Best Grad School Programs in engineering, earning a five-star designation from the publication. Among programs earning four or more stars, the College of Engineering ranked No. 1 in average early career salaries and tied for the top spot with a 100 percent employment rate for recent graduates.
