Janine McArdle is founder
and CEO of Apex Strategies,
a global consultancy
business providing advisory
services to companies
engaged in the midstream
and downstream sectors of
the energy industry.
She has been an executive
in the energy industry
for over 30 years and has
a proven track record of
successfully innovating across the energy value chain
from helping to create ICE, an independent global
commodity trading platform, to unlocking stranded
upstream gas resources through creative new
business strategies.
McArdle was recognized in 2014 as one of the top 50
most powerful women in the oil and gas industry and
in 2016 as a Woman of Influence in energy leadership.
Prior to forming Apex Strategies, she was an executive
officer at Apache Corporation for 13 years and was
responsible for establishing and implementing its
global marketing and risk management strategies
including its participation in two large-scale
international LNG projects. Before joining Apache,
she held various domestic and international executive
leadership positions at both Aquila Energy and Enron.
She currently serves on the board of the Palmer
Drug Abuse Program, is a committee member on the
Steering Committee for the United Way’s Women’s
Initiative, and is a member of the Greater Houston
Women’s Chamber of Commerce.
