Blurred water droplets roll off of a section of wire used to transmit electricity. Dennis Alexander's lab is pursuing a project that will modify power line wires so that they repel precipitation. The work shows promise in reducing ice formation on power lines.

July 26, 2018 - Nebraska researchers, including chemical and biomolecular engineer Yasar Demirel, have broken through a theoretical limit on hydrogen that bacteria could produce by presenting those bacteria with a simple choice — adapt or die.  Full Story
